Short version: Free - Resume doesn’t use cookies. It saves a few things in your browser’s local storage so the app works, and the optional Buy Me a Coffee panel uses its own cookies if you open it. Here are the details.
What are cookies and local storage?
Cookies are small files that websites save in your browser, often to remember you or to track visits across sites. Local storage is a similar feature that lets a website save data on your device. Unlike cookies, it isn’t sent to a server with every request, and it can’t be read by other websites.
What we store
Free - Resume sets no cookies. It uses local storage only for these items:

We don’t use analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.
Other services
- Buy Me a Coffee. The round support button in the corner is loaded from Buy Me a Coffee. It sets no cookies on its own. If you click it and open their panel, Buy Me a Coffee and its payment processor Stripe set cookies (for example to keep the panel working, for security, and to prevent payment fraud), and Buy Me a Coffee loads its own analytics. Their policies apply: Buy Me a Coffee, Stripe.
- Google Fonts. The fonts used on the site and in your resume are downloaded from Google’s servers. Google receives your IP address but doesn’t set cookies for this.
Your choices
- Clear it any time: in your browser’s settings, clear the site data for this website. This signs you out and removes the copy of your documents saved in that browser. Documents saved to your account stay safe; documents you made without signing in are lost, so download them first.
- Avoid third-party cookies: don’t open the Buy Me a Coffee panel, or block third-party cookies in your browser settings. Free - Resume works normally either way.
